One-to-one Sessions, dedicated to you and your needs

Sometimes, opting for a one-to-one approach is the better choice. It allows you to start immediately rather than waiting for the next course intake, and it provides the focused, personalized attention needed to thoroughly discuss, reflect on, and implement the strategies that will make the most meaningful difference for your child.

We can either run through a structured parenting course (which we’d recommend), which would be a Triple P or Time Out for Parents, evidence-based course, or we can start from scratch, starting with understanding the situation, triggers, causes, underlying reasons, history, etc. and put together a tailored package that responds to your needs week by week.

We can also draw from Five to Thrive (trauma informed practice) and DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) and PACE (Dan Hughes). These methods less ‘strategy’ focussed and more ‘a way of being’. They work very well alongside any structured course and strategies we might cover.

Other themes we can cover include: attachment, confidence, conflict resolution, managing emotions, setting goals, mental health, problem-solving, risk outside the home, online safety, SEN support, sleep, social issue and problems with school and learning.

EBSA Support

EBSA (Emotional Barriers to School Attendance) is becoming increasingly prevalent. We recognise that it is not a choice, but a signal that your child’s emotional capacity is overwhelmed. There is no quick fix, but we can help you take the pressure off and create a realistic, trauma-informed plan. We coach you through working effectively with your child’s school to ensure the right support is in place and, where necessary, signpost you to specialised external services.

Anxiety, Confidence & Resilience

Beyond immediate attendance challenges, we provide sessions focused on long-term growth. We help you to help your child build essential resilience skills by working on a targeted subset of competencies, such as creative thinking, problem-solving, learning skills, goal-setting and overcoming barriers.

A Trusted Support Network

Resilience is not about “going it alone.” We emphasise the importance of identifying and relying on trusted adults, both at home and in school, who provide the psychological safety necessary for your child to thrive.

Court Requirements

If you are required to complete a parenting course as part of a court order it’s it’s a recommendation or pre-emptive step, both Triple P and Time Out for Parents are suitable options. Both are evidence-based programmes and are widely accepted by the courts as adequate proof of effective training for parenting skills development.

Documentation Support

We are happy to assist with the documentation required for your proceedings at no additional cost. Please request these documents when you sign up:

  • Enrolment Letter: Provided at the start of the course; confirms your enrolment and outlines the course content.

  • Completion Letter: Provided at the end of the course; confirms your attendance, engagement, and the specific topics covered.

  • Electronic Certificate: A formal certificate of completion provided upon successful conclusion of the programme.
