Effectiveness of the Triple P Positive Parenting Programme on Parenting: A Meta-Analysis, by De Graff et al.
“The Triple P program is based on research in child and family behaviour therapy that has developed many useful behaviour change strategies, particularly research that focuses on rearranging antecedents of problem behaviour by designing more positive engaging environments for children.” (De Graaf et al., 2008; 554)
This article is a meta-analysis (a combination of studies) which summarises level 4 interventions of Triple P. It found positive effects on parent’s satisfaction with their parenting role, which were maintained for at least 3-12 months. It has been demonstrated that there is a meaningful and statistically reliable outcome for children and their parents.
